James's Light Meter Collection: Carl Zeiss Jena
Carl Zeiss Jena exposure meter East Germany
Maker: Carl Zeiss Jena
Model: none
Circa: 1955
Cell type: Selenium
Measure type: Reflecting

This is from Carl Zeiss Jena, which was the part of Zeiss that ended up in East Germany after the second world war; so it's not the same Zeiss that made Ikophots. They ended up being part of VEB Pentacon.

This one reminds me a lot of my Kiesewetter Excelsior and Photoscop meters. Kiesewetter was also East German, so I wonder if they ended up making this meter that got the famous Zeiss name.

This came in two colors: black and green. If there were more colors, I am unaware of them.

This was a gift from Jaap Besterveld in Ireland. Thank you!
