In my comments for Boom!, I'd complained that I don't care much for Tennessee Williams plays, and this is no exception. Katherine Hepburn is an overbearing mother who makes life miserable for everyone around her. Oh, joy.

The Music

This was a reuniting of the Anthony Harvey/Kate Hepburn/John Barry team from The Lion in Winter. I haven't heard the score, but the movie is now out on DVD.

Release Notes

The score never got a commercial release, but a "single" version of the main theme shows up on the compilation CD The Best of John Barry, the LPs The Very Best of John Barry, and Play It Again.
