Wenger Swiss Military "Classic Executive GMT" wristwatch

Wenger Swiss Military Classic Executive GMT wristwatchShort version: both Wenger and Victorinox, which are separate companies, have a claim on the "Swiss Army " brand and logo. Wenger appends the word "genuine" to it, and Victorinox appends the word "original." I know this applies to the famous pocket knives. I know both companies make wristwatches, but I believe Wenger can't use "Swiss Army" on them, because I only see "Swiss Military" marked on their dial faces when I look online. I have another Wenger wristwatch but at the moment it's misplaced and I can't check it.

I inherited this from my father, who collected watches. Most he gave me directly, but this was among the ones he'd kept. It was also one I'd never seen him wear. He tended to wear the $20 Walmart knock-about types that were no great loss when they were broken. The old man worked a lot with his hands and his watches had hard lives. The few nice ones he had were rarely worn.

So I don't know where or when he got it; my guess is it was probably a gift from a friend (he traded quite a bit). It's too large and nice for his tastes, but I like that big clean easy-to-read dial. I work in an office so this one's going into my rotation.
