Jules Jurgenson started as Danish company that used Swiss movements; they emigrated to the USA in the mid 30s, still using Swiss movements until the 1950s. After that, Jurgenson was just a brand on face and the actual works came from a variety of sources.
According to Wikipedia, after 1974 the name was purchased by a company called Rhapsody, which is itself now defunct.
Says 6477 on the case back. Says Jules Jurgenson 241-243 on the movement, 7 jewels, unadjusted. I found another JJ with a 241 movement: it was in a pocket watch case, but also had the date window, so it's very possible it's the same movement. Seller said it was German.
