Hamilton is probably favorite brand, closely followed by Gruen and maybe Bulova. They used to give their wristwatches names. This is a "Laird," as marked inside the case. I don't know the jewels. Found it at an antique shop in Placerville, California. I think I paid $40. Still the best looking Hamilton wristwatch in my collection, both in design and condition. I wear this one if I'm really trying to be dressy.
