It's a tank watch because that's the case design type. I believe my dad put the blue cyrstal in himself—he liked it. I never did, I find it hard to read. This was a gift from my mother to my father not long before they were married. My father wore it on and off depending on whether it worked (he repaired it a couple of times). Nice dress watch, but the face hasn't aged well. I'll see how many jewels it has some day when I have the back off.
