More key-wound watches, like my Kendal-Dent. One has the original key, the other does not. Neither run.
Both have what I call a presentation case: the back cover is hinged to expose another back that covers the movement, so there's a lot of room for an inscription (there is no inscription on these).
The one with the key says Patent Lever, Full Jewelled, Expressly Examined, and a serial number. Inside the movement says "compensation balance."
I haven't been able to find anything specific about the maker. I believe it's English or Swiss. "Fully jewelled" usually means 17 jewels.
The case is gold colored but I don't know how much gold, or what kind, it is. I haven't learned to read the hallmarks yet.
The second one (missing its key) is a silver-metal case.
Acquired: 2019
Circa: likely 19th century
Current condition: do not run
