This is my Elgin Grade 291. I have two of these. They are both size 16, 7 jewel jobs. In fact, they're great examples for how you can't judge the movement by the case. Both are fancy cases, and the later model has a fancy dial. They don't look like 7-jewel watches to me.
The with the light background was made in 1920 clad with an Illinois Watch Case Company "Spartan".
The one in the black ground was made in 1925. The case is a Keystone, made of base metal.
Acquired: 2019
Circa: 1920 and 1925
Current condition: 1920 version runs; 1925 is not working, don't know the problem.
