Sessions mantle clock

This is a mantle clock. I want to call them iron clocks, because some of them had iron cabinets and weigh a ton. This one, is wood but painted black to look like iron.

Another acquisition of my father's. He liked this style. I feel like I should like it but I can't quite warm up to it. I might like them better if I actually had a mantle. Funny, I've lived in three houses that had fireplaces, and only one had a mantle. The place I'm in now does not.

Acquired: 2000s.

Current condition: doesn't run, don't know why.
