The Movie

Never saw it--this was a sequel to Elizabeth Taylor in London and gets exactly the same amount of airplay on American television—none. Too bad, too. I never cared much for Liz, but Sophia's a sweetie. Elizabeth Taylor In London and Sophia Loren in Rome have both been released together on Blu-Ray. If it ever comes out on Region 1 and I see it, I'll write something about it.

The Music

I'll put this in the machine again. I can't remember the music.

Release Notes

For a long time this had the dubious distinction of being the most expensive LP I owned—I bought the only copy I ever saw and I paid through the nose for it. So I had mixed emotions when Pendulem put it out in the late 90s on CD at a reasonable price. I don't see it around anymore—maybe it'll become pricey as well.

Columbia put out two versions of the LP. The first one (Sophia standing with her purse) is the regular issue and the one I own. Its cover art was also used for the CD. The second version had music (not Barry's) called The Bride Wore Yolande.
