The Play

This musical was based on Billy Liar, a popular play about a young man (Michael Crawford) who finds himself having to expand and elaborate his lies to keep from being discovered as a liar.

The Music

I have a lot of trouble with this one since I've never seen the play and I'm unfamiliar with the story.

Release Notes

The LP came out around the time of the play. There is a CD floating around but it's hard to find and pricey.
